The kindergartners of this year and for the next few years have missed out on the foundational teaching and practice of social skills. They will need instruction, support and practice to help them learn and grow into kind, helpful, focused, independent lifelong learners. Due to the pandemic the kindergartners have missed key grade levels in person, preschool, transitional kindergarten and kindergarten, that build social skills and teach skills to manage emotions. Diane Alber's books provide lessons on emotional skills and how to manage them. In person learning will provide the time to practice these skills and help this age level grow into the kind, help productive members of society that we need.

About my class
