Reluctant readers need to see books as an important tool in school and out of school. In order to build a strong academic foundation, their literacy skills need to be reinforced with high-interest material. Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid series has captivated the attention of reluctant readers helping them see books in a new light. Gifting new and popular released titles, in order to expand home libraries of reluctant readers, will reinforce the importance of literacy at home and in school. This project will help us send books into homes that will be enjoyed by not only our students but siblings as well.

About my class
