A majority of the leveled books that came with my classroom are so old and worn that they are falling apart. These books are difficult for my students to read since they are so worn, and they do not meet the interests of today's children. My students are struggling to read the worn-out books we currently have, and I know they would be so excited and eager to read new books that meet their needs and interests. Students become successful readers when they enjoy what they are reading. With these new books, I know my students would look forward to reading, which in turn, would help them grow to become successful readers.
