I am requesting sets of STEAM activities such as magnetic tiles, gear sets, LEGOs, and modeling clay to help spark the imagination and use their natural curiosity to foster a love of science,technology,and the arts. My students will be able to use these STEAM boxes as morning work, during inside recess, and when they have finished daily work. Each student will have a supply box containing one set of materials such as the LEGO bricks or craft supplies. They will have the opportunity to use critical thinking skills as they build and create. I will be able to use a variety of the supplies in my Math curriculum as well. I also intend on integrating English Language Arts by giving students the opportunity to reflect and draw about what they have made.
