Many of us have learned what works best for us when we work. Some of us like to sit in a comfortable chair; others the floor, while some need to constantly move. Students need the same opportunities to learn what works for them. This is the start of my desire to make my room a flexible learning environment where all have the opportunity to learn/work in a place that is best for them. I will have groups split with the ability to use exercise balls, wobbly chairs, pillows on the floor with lower desks, standing desks/taller chairs (eventually) so that students have a wide variety of environments to try and find what works best for them. We know as adults that comfort can be a huge aspect to our work production, and I want the same opportunity for my students.
