About my class

I want to provide individual plates for my students to construct their Lego creations. This year, during the pandemic, I have been trying to give opportunities for my students to be involved in imaginative play without sharing toys and materials, During a normal school year, I have students who begin building something special and then quickly have to break down and clean up the Legos so that students in the PM section of kindergarten can use the same Legos. My heart breaks for the children who can't save a project and work on it for multiple days. The individual Lego plates will solve that problem. I am also trying to find different ways to teach my struggling learners. The letter Duplos are a great hand-on activity for the learners who need to learn the alphabet. I am hoping using these Duplo blocks will help my Kinesthetic learners find more meaning and motivation in what they are being taught.
