The students have used whiteboards, markers and erasers throughout the year to work out problems instead of using pencil and paper. They use them to solve various problems that I have on the board and compare answers with their partners. While they are working on their independent practice and reviewing for their STAAR test they use their whiteboards to work out difficult parts in the problem. They also use them when we have Kahoot quizzes to review for their unit tests. Using the white boards encourages the students to participate in class and ease some of the frustration that comes with solving difficult problems.
