The most effective interventions for students with dyslexia should always include multisensory interactive activities that are research-based. Students need to be explicitly taught how to read through hands-on activities that work on phonemic and phonological awareness skills. We break down our language and start with a solid foundation using different sensory tools to understand the way our brains are wired for learning the written and oral language. Being able to manipulate the sounds and letters of our alphabet using a wide range of multisensory methods helps my kids become lifelong successful readers!
