My teachers are always looking for fun ways to help engage our students while helping them master reading skills. With Covid restrictions, it has made it hard to make homemade materials that can be sanitized after use. It is also time consuming for our overworked teachers. I'd like to give them something to use to help engage their students during Guided Reading and Small Group time. Meeting with small groups of students to review an unmastered skill is the number 1 way of seeing progress. I and other teachers will be able to use these stations when I work with small groups to increase their phonemic awareness and get them ready to read or continue their reading progress. These ready to use stations will not only be Covid approved for sanitation, help to save time and energy of our hard working teachers and to keep students engaged while increasing their phonics skills. Students will love to be able to safely work with friends in their station while they increase their phonological awareness and reading skills. My teachers will be able to use any of these materials when needed. These "ready to use" centers will be a huge hit with my students and teachers!
