My students have struggled academically and regressed due to the Covid pandemic because they have limited resources at home to practice important skills. They strengthen these skills by working with task boxes where they learn packaging, sorting, following directions, etc. They work best with hands-on materials they can touch and feel. Due to the Covid pandemic, I cannot send task boxes home or use them with the students who come in person. However, I am blessed to have found file folder activities online that support and reinforce many of the skills. For example, there is one file folder that has pictures of meat, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mustard, ketchup, etc, and students are given an order sheet they need to fill by creating the requested burger. Another example involves creating coffee cups with the correct size mug and type of coffee with the correct number of condiments of sugar, honey, cream, milk, and cinnamon. By purchasing these online resources, I will be able to create individual file folders that focus on each child's individual needs. I can send these home and each student will be able to have his/her complete set of materials to practice with whether they are at school or at home. Please help me help my students become more employable.
