As a first-year teacher, the materials I have on hand for my students are rather limited. Currently I either read to my kids (who are of course perfect angels always and listen along rather intently just like every teenager does in school....) or my students use Project Gutenberg to follow along. This method, though better than having them simply hear the book, is hard for some students to follow along with. It is difficult on many kids' eyes, and it provides distraction style temptation for others. The simple fact of the matter is that students need to read books in order to master English. Learning is, to say the least, an uphill battle for all of my students in our current environment and situation. By having physical copies of the books and stories we study, students will have the best chance of interacting with and understanding the text. With these books, my students would be able to easily follow along, as well as have fewer distractions and less strain on their eyes. The versions of each story have, moreover, been chosen as the most suitable options for this project. These are the most economically appropriate options available that still provide the best material. Though they are not outrageously expensive, they have commendable commentary, notes, and contributors.
