The materials in this grant will be used by the horticulture class. They will have a hands-on environment in which to learn food production, ornamental horticulture, floral arrangement, and tropical house plant care. They will learn to grown their own food, by propagating plants via seed, cuttings, or divisions. They will care for them in raised beds that they have constructed themselves. The equipment will also be used to care for ornamental horticultural displays around campus. The goal is for them to gain pride in their campus and appreciate the value of hard work.
