Students today spend a lot of time on iPads and technology which has led to delays in brain development. Research shows that students need more movement in their daily lives. My classroom gives them a chance to burn extra energy, build gross motor and fine motor skills and integrate primitive reflexes. The Body Shop is also used for social emotional skills. My students have an opportunity to self-regulate big emotions and return to a regular classroom. My project is a Swedish Ladder Wall that would encompass all of these skills.
