A few weeks ago, I saw some students with a jump rope during recess. They tried to jump, but none had much success. After talking with them, I learned that they had never had anyone teach them how to jump rope and they were trying to learn on their own. I wanted to help. Jump rope is great exercise and can be a fun way to learn too. I will teach the students some songs and rhymes then head out to the black top to practice jump rope skills. Students that are learning remotely, can also learn and practice their jump rope skills. We will put the songs and rhymes together with their new jumping abilities and -viola!- exercise and learning turns into alot of fun!
