These STEM activities will help improve cognitive skills, enhance creative thinking and imagination, improve gross and motor skills, and build on interpersonal skills. Students will greatly benefit from a hands-on learning experience. These tools will help us reach our goal of engaging students in lessons throughout all subject areas. The tools I am requesting for my classroom include: Magnetic Tiles, Magnetic Building Sticks, Picasso Tiles, Classic Legos, STAR Flex Stem Toys, Creative Kids Flakes. All of these items will help my students learn to build and collaborate using the Engineer Design Process taught in class. I am also requesting an Organizer Bin to place all of these STEM toys in. This will ensure students have easy access to these materials during the school day. I am looking forward to seeing my students build their creativity and use these tools to aid in their learning. When students are engaged and enjoying what they are learning, that lifts their confidence in their academic skills. After over a year and a half of learning from home, my 3rd-grade engineers are excited to be back in the classroom for fun hands-on learning activities.
