This pottery wheel will help enhance the students ability to grow as artists. It will allow them to advance further than hand pinch pottery and coil pottery; sending them into the next step "throwing" on a wheel. As an artist and now art teacher, I realize the value of equipment and supplies, the supplies allow the students to have their own creative space within the classroom. To be able to give my students the ability to grow and produce more advanced work is my goal. To grow, to create and to become better artists. Ceramics is the number one requested topic to cover in class. As a middle school teacher you'd think a mess would keep me from it, but it's the complete opposite! I love the messiness of creating and so do my students. Clay allows for a mess and a way to get even more involved in the medium one is using. With that being said please help my students get their hands dirty (with clay)!
