The football program at our school has never been properly funded. As a result, our athletes have had the perspective that nobody cares and supports our team. This causes our student-athletes to not even want to play because we just don't have the resources that other schools in our league have. This is why I want to surprise my athletes with something small, but will make a HUGE difference in how they see this program. I want them to feel like a real team and to have the tools to be successful. Having every student-athlete wear the same practice jersey will make such a difference in our program because as we all know, success stems from practice. If the student-athletes know they are supported, not only will they look good, they will also feel good and most of all, play good!
