Providing picture books that have high quality pictures and vocabulary words meant for Kindergarten children will provide students with limited English or no English ability to acquire visuals and grow background knowledge to help with reading and writing for kindergarten curriculum. This project will also provide students with on level reading books that can be read at school or at home and will provide opportunities for growth in oral language opportunities using vocabulary provided within the text. This project will allow students from different ethnicities and countries who have not been exposed to language or vocabulary more visual learning experiences when it comes to adjusting not only to a new country, but also to their new classroom community. Reading will become a life long adventure for these little ones and will create leaders among all of us.
