Our new campus has a beautiful new library. However, the floors are polished concrete and are bare. We have tables and chairs, but young students love to have other options when reading and gathering for group lessons. We need an area with a large rug to gather for our literacy and library lessons. In this space, we will foster our love of reading, expand our vocabulary, create print and book awareness, and develop our reading and listening skills. It will also serve as an area for students to be able to spread out and enjoy literature independently or with a partner.
