If my project gets fully funded, my students in school learning will be enhanced. These supplies will not be used for at home use. The students will have the opportunity to take home the leveled readers, but they will need to be returned each day. I currently do not have enough leveled readers for all the students in my class, so the books that I am hoping to get funded will supply my class with ample opportunity to read. For Kindergarten especially, they learn best with hands-on experiences and activities. The math manipulatives will be used during math centers. I currently only have a select few manipulatives, and it is time for some variety. Math should not just be pencil and paper. The bean bags and stretch bands will be used for flexible/preferred seating. The students will really love these during reading time, and it will help to make learning easier and more fun for the students. The last couple of things that I would really love to be funded would be drawers and shelves so that I can organize my old and hopefully new books and math manipulatives.
