Preschoolers are unique. Most of them are away from their parents/caretakers for the first time. They are suddenly with people that are new to them. I would like to plant a garden with my kids so they can learn all the benefits of having a garden. Children will have to share with the tasks and learn to cooperate while working together. Gardening encourages the development of fine motor skills every step of the way, from picking up tiny seeds to gently caring for seedlings and plants. Gardening also teaches responsibility. Plants require a lot of attention. Learning how to care for the plants properly, from watering to weeding is a great lesson in responsibility! Finally, gardening takes patience. The time it takes to grow a seed to harvesting veggies takes weeks. Nevertheless, it is always worth the wait! This is a project the kids will always remember. Thank you for your consideration toward this project. I know they will love it and maybe even want to plant their own gardens at home!.
