How Can Coding Save Orcas is an inspiring story to introduce coding to the girls at my elementary school. Showing them how AI is connected to an orca reinforces thinking outside the box. I hope to spark an interest through Ozobots that can engage them with its simplicity and build on that into a Robotics program. As Covid-19 brought my school into a 1:1 device world, it has shown us that we can do so much more. In addition, watching such a personal story in Mission Unstoppable Teaching Robots How to Dance influenced me to find a way to teach robotics in a more encompassing way. Introducing my younger girls to a world of robots will encourage them to think outside of the typical robot world and allow them to create things that will change their worlds.
