My target of each resource is to help upper elementary students have an on-going practice with literacy and math skills both at home and at school. In my years of teaching, I have found that students retain more if they are enjoying a center by playing a game or solving problems with a partner or as a group, rather than worksheets that are fill in the blank or multiple choice. These learning center activities are also aligned with Alaska State Standards that are also very valuable. Not only will it help with focusing and re-enforcing their learning skills, but conclusively you will increase their academic achievement.
