Now in the 21st century, teachers must shift and pivot to meet the needs of our students through online and hybrid learning. Educators and students have needed to adapt now more than ever in teaching and learning through an online platform. Because of these changes, our students are challenged with staying engaged and focused through this new learning platform. I believe students benefit from having mobile and flexible seating in 21st century classrooms in order to adapt and excel in our new learning environment. Having flexible seating options in the classroom will help students stay engaged and on task in the classroom. My students have special needs that are met through the resource special education setting and benefit greatly from having this accommodation to their classroom setting and environment. Having this flexibility will help students stay engaged, focused, and on task with completing their activities and assignments. Providing our students with this option will also increase students productivity and help them reach their academic goals. By funding this project you are aiding in accelerating student growth and learning through the accommodation of flexible seating, as well as providing students with a more positive and conducive learning environment.
