I'm excited to start teaching first grade this year and I'm hoping to provide many amazing new titles for my students to read in class. I know that the love of reading starts early and first grade is a year of growth and change for beginning readers. Our class will use some of these as independent reading books, and I will also some as mentor texts. I know these books will be invaluable in our classroom for our students as I teach them about different cultures, ways of life, and help them see the world around them with fresh eyes.
