Help me help my students become independent, confident readers! After many years of teaching kindergarten, I am moving moving schools within my district into a first grade classroom. This classroom is in need of a guided reading table which will allow me to work with students independently, or in small groups, to focus on skills that will better meet their needs. Students will also be able to work together and learn from their peers at a table that allows for cooperative group work. A guided reading table will provide a space for my students to learn the skills needed in order to decode and think critically as a young reader, and also make our time more systematic and engaging to empower their love for reading!
