We hope to use materials in art and music this year to coordinate with our STEM classroom in building/constructing artwork based on the greats in our history such as DaVinci and his designs of architecture, devices, art studies, etc. Art is often underfunded along with music, and usually at the bottom of the list for supplies and funding. With a little help, students can learn about 2D and 3D sculpture building and design along with coordinating with STEM mobility and physics projects with the sculptures. Each type of funding our school get further in their creative education in an already impoverished area. Students struggle with learning the arts due to funding and materials needed for a well-equipped art room, and music struggles with regulations for use of musical materials and how expensive replacements are. With a decent supply, our community outreach can also improve locally and even nationally with contests and submitted artwork for various projects and even partnering with STEM in various endeavors.
