We know that students learn in different ways, and yet often we teach math just one way. For years we have made students sit at a desk, listen to a math lecture and then complete a bunch of problems on a worksheet. No wonder so many kids hate math! We need to make math fun! Students need to be able to draw, color, touch, move and visualize. Brain research tells us that students learn in many different ways. We need to give them as many options as possible so they can learn on their terms. These Cuisenaire rods, geometry solids, fraction tiles, graphing boards, and magnetic arrays chart will help students succeed in math, and more importantly learn to love math!
