Our school is a Title 1 school and needs all the help within our community. The Special Education department is consistently attempting to adapt to our students needs. Studies have shown in the students that are in need of sensory stimulation have a safe place they can return more quickly to learning. "All Sensory input begins in the brain, has its effect throughout the entire body"- Norman Cousins The space will have various items floor mats, crash pad, and sensory swing to help release energy with physical movement. Light Filters to help us soften the fluorescent lights within the room. Tactile and sensory toys to help meet Sensory integration. Se
