This school year has been the toughest year for a lot of teachers and students. This upcoming school year, I want to bring back the magic and excitement of learning! I want to incorporate flexible seating into my classroom. Flexible seating gives students an option of how he/she would like to work for the school day. Currently, my students choose different locations to work in the classroom, but I would like to expand their seating options. I have found that giving students different varieties of seating makes them feel more comfortable and focused on their work. When students make choices about where they sit they get more work completed. It also allows them to take ownership of their learning. Also, for the last two years of teaching I have incorporated classroom transformations to brighten up and engage my students in their academics. With these transformations, I have witnessed students expand their background knowledge and grasp their understanding of the content. Continuing to implement classroom transformations will allow my students to grow academically. Help me make learning exciting!
