As a first-year teacher, my classroom library is not very big. We are lacking a lot of literacy essentials. In this project, I have added Caldecott award-winning books, in addition to culturally diverse literature to enrich my students' reading experience. Our Head Start classroom has children of varying intellectual ability, social or cultural background, language facility, and physical attributes. I want to be prepared and equipped to reach these students through literacy in our classroom library. These books will help to enrich my library and our students! Thank you so much!
