I am requesting lap desks, a balance ball seat, wobble cushions and chairs, sand and water table and floor seats. Through the use of flexible seating my students are able to choose their seating, a place and space that is comfortable for them, where they can optimize learning. During independent work periods the students are able to pick a space in the class where they are most comfortable to complete their work. Through this project they will provide my children several different options, instead of the hard plastic seating that we currently have. Flexible seating has many known benefits for students with Autism. Flexible seating may reduce fidgeting and discomfort while also promoting their attention and improving behavior, so we are willing, ready learners!

About my class
