There is something miraculous about witnessing science transform before your eyes. Help our class have access to this magical experience of hatching chick eggs. This experience will provide our 3rd graders first hand experiences making observations about the life cycle as well as the importance of proper care and nurture that egg hatching requires. Now more than ever, our students need to experience hands-on learning that will create more connection and understanding of the world around them. Now that we are back in the classroom, we are trying to make up for the many months where our students learned remotely. Schools across the nation have been transitioning through many instructional formats and our school is no different. We hope this spring to infuse our curriculum with collaborative and real life experiences. The wonderful part about this project is that it will continue to give year after year. We will be able to experience the magic of egg hatching with each passing class. Our students had the privilege of visiting our local conservatory, who has agreed to house our quail upon hatching. Our students can visit these chicks all spring and summer long.
