This recess equipment will help the students have a structured recess time. Right now, they seem to stand around and are inactive because we do not have the equipment that we need. Our goal is to get students involved in playing together during recess. Due to COVID we had to greatly limit the amount of students who can be together which has impacted how students interact and play within a smaller group. Without equipment it has been so hard to get students up and moving and enjoying the time they have at recess. Moving at least 20 minutes a day is vital to anybody's health, but especially a growing tween! This is their last year with recess as they move to the middle school next year, this might be the only time some of them get to be outside and moving with friends. Our goal is to make this time as enjoyable and memorable as possible given the current circumstances. Please consider helping these kids and the kids in the future to have a fun experience at their final year of recess.
