I am requesting cleanable and comfortable places for my students to sit in the classroom Our students are coming back to school and need some alternatives to the school-issue, hard blue plastic chairs in our classroom. They have been learning from home for the past eight months, while seated in more comfortable environments like their bedrooms or on couches or chairs with padding. They are about to return to in-person learning at school in a week, and while considering how to social distance them in the classroom, I also realized the change I should try make to the seating itself to help with the adjustment in comfort. The materials I hope to receive funding for will help students self-select more places around the room to read and learn at a safe distance from each other, and will undoubtedly increase their comfort level and ability to focus throughout the school day.
