Many students don't have a comfortable place to sit and read for pleasure. One purpose of our couches will be to give students with a little free time a place to come and read for fun. A second purpose, however, is to establish a seating area with power connections to allow students to sit and listen to podcasts on their chrome books or other library devices. We hope to extend that to a place where students can sit together and record podcasts of their own - book reviews, interviews, etc. This seating area will be set apart from the regular table areas used by classes when they visit the library. It will be a comfortable, homey area for collaboration.
