The goal of my classroom is to create a safe, fun, and calm environment where we work on communication, self-reflection, skills to deal with the unexpected, and emotional empowerment. This DonorsChoose project will help me obtain sensory tools, soft lighting, balls, water bottles, name tags, folders, and headphones to fully equip this growing program. My classroom is for students who need extra time to understand their emotions and feelings. It could also be described as a rainbow-fun-explosion of awesomeness and tranquility. This year my class has twice as many students as last year and we are continuing to enroll new students. We are preparing to expand my class into two rooms and would like to make the second room as welcoming, calm, and relaxing as my current classroom.
