The Under Armour backpacks requested will be used as monthly grand prizes for students who have displayed responsibility, respectful behavior and readiness consistently throughout the month. These qualities are in alignment with our school wide expectations matrix, as well as our "Golden Ticket" Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) reward system. The backpacks will be filled with school supplies, and will be enable students to transport their Chromebooks to and from school safely. Integrating social emotional learning into the curriculum, accompanied by continuous positive reinforcement has been shown to enhance student academic achievement, while providing students with an excellent foundation for future success.
