Both at home and in the classroom these supplies will be used to provide my students with a hands-on example of plant reproduction. By using the leaves of various succulent varieties, the students will be able to see how the type of succulent alters growth rate and other key characteristics. Students will also be able to see asexual reproduction happen before their eyes, giving them a memorable experience to pair with concepts like mitosis, asexual reproduction, propagation, plant growth conditions, and the scientific method. Not only will they be learning, but they will also be crafting. The students will also have the ability to design their "pets" new home (their terracotta pot). Learning and fun packed into one memorable lesson.
