About my class

I have asked for various crafting materials like pipe cleaners, paint, craft sticks, etc. Since teaching from home, I have used my own funds to buy my students materials and would send home different packets. These packets would include things like construction paper, crayons, glue, scissors, etc. I was given a classroom that had some supplies like crayons, colored pencils, white paper, and pencils but there was a big lack of crafting supplies. In my opinion, imagination, and creativity should be integrated within each lesson. Kindergarten children are in a developmental stage where they are seeking both autonomy and play. I believe integrating arts into their language arts, math, science, and social studies is a perfect way to give them autonomy in choosing what they will create and playing with different materials to make it. I would really love to be able to do more creative and imaginative projects with my students when we get back into the classroom. I want their last 2 months of kindergarten to be educational and fun.
