By allowing students to learn through STEAM materials, they will have hands-on experiences to hypothesize, experiment, and rework ideas. Many of my students do not have materials like these at home and by having them in their classroom, they will be exposed to a whole new way of learning. I've also included some books to add to my classroom library that will add to the STEAM lessons. I first plan to read the book Iggy Peck, Architect first and then we will use the building manipulatives to create their own structures. In the past I have done activities like these with index cards and tape and they just don't build well. The products I have selected will allow my students opportunities to explore in a whole new way. I thank you in advance for taking the time to learn about my students and considering purchasing supplies for their education.
