Access to the classroom library will promote independent reading a stimulate imagination. Through the classroom library, my students can embark on a new journey through every book they read independently, to me, or with a classroom friend. Every student book in my library is a gift. My students are grateful for the opportunities to read. These books have been chosen in Spanish to increase my students' comprehension, which transfers over to their English reading. I have personally seen my students reading in BOTH language increase by having access to more books in their native language. The books will allow my students a variety of topics that are fun and meaningful to them. Limited Spanish resources are just one of my hurdles my student must overcome to be successful. These books will help them overcome this barrier with ease.
