COVID-19 guidelines have restricted students normal every day activities in our classroom. Their days used to be filled with lots movement around the class. Students now remain most of the day at their individual desks. My goal for 2021 is to support my students' sensory and self regulation needs. I want to help them stay calm and communicating! In helping my students stay regulated, it's important for me to address their sensory needs. Many of them benefit from flexible seating. My students are constantly fighting over our exercise balls in the classroom. I would love to have more options so that every student has the opportunity to use flexible seating. Many of them learn better when they can wiggle, bounce, or use their core muscles!
