The materials I have chosen play an important role in enhancing the way students will get to view the world of science around them. The microscope I have chosen is one that is durable, student-friendly, and has the ability to be moved around the room as needed. It's my belief having proper scientific equipment available such as this microscope, will encourage students to be engaged & excited and actively participate in lab stations. I also have chosen a set of 12 premade slides that ties directly into our content material. It's one thing to look at a picture in a textbook, it's another when students get to learn how to properly use scientific equipment and view a specific microorganism for themselves.
