"Taking STEM to a 3D level" will be used to explore exciting technology with a hands-on approach that encourages creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in the gifted enrichment program. Our program focuses on using the project-based learning approach, which has students integrating many disciplines to tackle complex projects. These projects integrate technology, engineering, math, art, and other subjects. By having the access to a 3D printer and scanner, the students can design and create 3D objects. They can then start to see themselves as creators who can improve the design of an idea in the real world rather than just be passive consumers in this fast-paced technological world. The authentic learning experiences offered through the use of this 3D printer and its lessons will solidify the goals set for these students.
