Your donation will make a difference in the lives of my students because the books available in the school library do not reflect the student population. I work in a low income school district that does not receive the same funding as larger schools to purchase current titles. I can only purchase a handful of books out of my own pocket. Students need to be able to see themselves in books. Students are unlikely to read a book if they do not feel like it was written with them in mind. Diversifying my classroom library will motivate reluctant readers to pick up a book.
