Most of my children are from low income homes and have been identified as being at risk of becoming a struggling student. All the research has shown that young children learn best through exploration with a variety of materials. With the current pandemic elementary classrooms have had to change dramatically. Due to social distancing our young learners are no longer given the opportunity to interact closely with their peers. Students need to have a large variety of learning materials that can be divided and swapped out to be safe. Through this grant my students will be given their choice of different manipulatives and supplies that they need to maximize their learning. These centers will help reinforce what they are learning and can have a little fun at the same time.
