Getting a class set of lap desks will allow my students to have an alternate seating choice this year, rather than sitting at their desk. Due to COVID, students are not allowed to share materials or flexible seating spaces. Come April 5th, all fifteen of my third graders will be back in class and their desks will be in rows. This is not a seating arrangement that fosters a love of learning. I am hoping to give my students an option to sit on the floor in any way they are comfortable with a desk that they can work at. My students will be able to complete assignments for all subjects at these lap desks, as well as reading, thinking, and discussing. My third graders have worked hard this year to make the best of a difficult situation. It is my hope we can end the school year on a positive note!
