C. C is home to one of the first dual-language immersion programs in our corporation, that teaches children to speak, write, and read in both Spanish and English. "Legado" challenges our students to immerse themselves in two worlds. Unlike the average Elementary library, our students need both Spanish and English literature. The superpower of reading, like many of the best things in life, is free; however, library books have to be paid for somehow. Regardless of my students' unique dual-language aspirations, my budget for books is no different than the average library. The incredible gift of these books would allow me to add to our English selection, then spend more on building our Spanish collection. The ability to read Spanish is a crucial step towards success in the Legado program, which will equip students with valuable skills and abilities for the future. Once more, whether our students are reading English or Spanish, books are a powerful gift for life, and the gateway to success!
