As a teacher, I like to plan for the future. I have not met any of my in-person students yet, but I know the needs of many students all over the United States and even the world. A large majority of students have been learning virtually and have not had the chance to get their hands on an actual book. I mean a “GREAT” book! I want my students to have the opportunity to read books that are culturally diverse, high interest, explore different subject areas and genres. These types of books will broaden their horizons and provide them the ability to explore a variety of books. I want to peak their interest and create an appreciation for books and be proud that they have the privilege to explore a wide variety of “GREAT” books! These books will be available in the classroom library where any student will have the ability to checkout and read. These books will enrich their in-person learning and provided a positive learning experience.
